The VEX 2019-2020 game, Tower Takeover, is a very interesting one. The idea of the competition was to design and build a robot that could pick up 5.5 in cubes and place them in stacks or in towers. The objective as with every year was to gain as many points as possible in 15 seconds of autonomous driving and 2:45 of driver control. During this time the two allied teams worked together to make stacks and to place cubes in towers. The cubes were worth one point as a base but their score increased by 1 for every cube of the same color in a tower. In the end the two main designs people went with were "tray bots" that would have an internal cube stack up to about 15 cubes and the other was a double reverse four bar that could extend very high to reach the taller towers. The bots my team went with were the double reverse four bar, a tray bot and a cascade lift which although not very popular could reach heights up to 6 feet.
